Hello My Name Is...

Denise Curtis

I am the 7th grade science teacher at Harris Middle School.  I have a BA in Psychology from NCSU as well as my Project Management Certification from NCSU. I am a NC Certified Teacher in Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I also hold my teaching certification in Texas in Special Education.  I belong to the following organizations: PENC & NCETA (North Carolina English Teachers Association. I have held positions as a Business Analysis at the Bank of America and Project Management positions at Dell Computer and Digital Recorders. However, I love being a teacher the most! In my spare time I like to play old time mountain music, hike and do yoga. I am working on my yoga teacher certification now and hope to teach in Mitchell county by 2010. I'm proud to say my son Leo is 21 and in the Navy.
