Harris Middle School Teacher of the Year!
I graduated Mitchell High School in 1995 and went to Appalachian State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Studies. I worked with Avery County Schools at Avery Middle for 7 years teaching seventh and eighth grade social studies and language arts. I moved to Harris Middle School in 2008 teaching 8th grade language arts. I now teach seventh grade language arts. I am married to Mitchell Warren who teaches at the high school and we have two children, Cadee and Connor who are in 5th and 1st grade. I live in Spruce Pine and attend First Baptist Church.
